The Journey Begins

On 12 January 2010, Electus People (formerly Electus Recruitment) was founded with a vision to deliver premium recruitment services to a broader market. “I understood very early on that finding the ideal candidate for an employer goes beyond the position description. Hiring magic happens when you fully embrace their business vision and future plans,” says founder Fiona Hackett.

Career Development Initiatives

In a period of challenge for many jobseekers, we responded by launching its inaugural career development seminar to share the secrets behind better job hunting.

Expansion into Aged Care

We expanded our activities in the Australian Aged Care sector, partnering with Queensland job active providers to deliver job readiness training. Aimed at individuals with limited skills but the right attributes to support the elderly, the training equipped people for entry-level employment as carers in Community or Residential Aged Care. We now proudly offer this training throughout the year, leading to employment for over 350 jobseekers annually.

Rebranding to Reflect Our Mission

We rebranded ourselves in a way that provided our dedication to helping people transform their lives with meaningful, rewarding employment. Adding ‘people’ to the end of our name made sense. It summed up what we enjoy best – improving someone else’s life.

Launch into Work Program

ElectusPeople was successful in securing funding from the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training to deliver a ‘Launch into Work’ program. This initiative, in partnership with a local care provider, combined skills training with practical experience in aged care. We also integrated technology with labour hire services via an online workforce management platform to streamline our recruitment practices online.

Pandemic Response

As the global COVID-19 pandemic impacted the community, our team was nominated as a key staff supplier for our aged care partners. During this challenging period we provided emergency workforce support to providers including Southern Cross Care QLD and Anglicare Southern Queensland.

Rural Nursing Opportunities

ElectusPeople introduced rural nursing opportunities in Western Downs Queensland.

Partnerships for Job Opportunities

We partnered with Workways Australia to promote work opportunities and pre-employment training for jobseekers.

Nationally Recognised Training

In collaboration with Allens Training, an Australian Registered Training Organisation, we deliver nationally recognised First Aid and CPR training to our employees and the wider community.
